Volunteer Opportunities

These ministries need volunteers to help to connect people with God and one another to serve, live, and love - guided by Christ. Opportunities range from sending emails to weekly commitments. Those highlighted with an asterisk * are in immediate need of help.

  • *faith formation teachers needed

    Sunday School volunteers are needed to teach Godly Play in the following classrooms - pre-K to first grade and second through fourth grade.

    Teachers are also needed for the fifth and sixth grade class. These teachers will rotate between two different sets of curricula.

    Two volunteers per Sunday are also needed for the nursery.

  • *PADS volunteers needed for 3-hour shifts

    Monday nights through tuesday mornings

    This is our 34th year of serving the homeless in DuPage County. We provide three meals and a place to do laundry, shower, and sleep Monday nights through Tuesday morning. For more information please contact Char Wild or come see her in Fellowship Hall after service to sign up to provide food and/or pick a volunteer shift. Donations for the purchase of food are also appreciated. 

  • meal express volunteers needed

    We are looking for volunteers who will prepare (or purchase) a meal and deliver meals to members of our church. This could be for sickness, new baby, hospitalization, etc. If interested, please sign up in November after church in Fellowship Hall or contact Gail Jaroski.

  • Greater Chicago Food Depository

    Wednesdays, 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.,

    Join church members for a food repack session at the Greater Chicago Food Depository, located at 4100 W. Ann Lurie Place, which is just off the Stevenson Expressway at Pulaski Road. For more information, contact David Hersemann

  • night ministry

    Once each month, we head into the city for Night Ministry. Donations of bread, chips, cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruit, and granola bars are distributed to the needy. The next dates are Sunday, Nov. 17 and Dec. 15. Please join us in this rewarding ministry opportunity.  Sign up here.

    Make a positive difference. UCC.org examines current justice issues, educates and engages its members in shaping public policy that aligns with God's vision for a just and loving society, and calls us to personal action as the hands and feet of Jesus in the modern world.  Sign  up to receive weekly just action alerts via email and/or text. 

  • prison outreach ministry

    Join our prison ministry team at the Illinois Youth Center in Warrenville. Each Thursday evening, two members of our team teach a life skills class to help prepare the youth for life outside the juvenile justice system. You can volunteer as often as you are able.
