Frequently asked questions

  • Am I welcome in your church if I have a different faith background?

Yes. All are welcome here, no matter who you are or where you are in life's journey. All are invited no matter what their faith background or lack thereof. We believe that Jesus did not turn anyone away, therefore neither do we.

  • Can I get married in your church even if I am not a church member?

Yes. First Congregational United Church of Christ  hosts weddings for both members and non-members. Our pastors also officiate weddings outside the walls of our church. However, we do require a clergy from our congregation to be involved in any service that represents the church. Click here for more information.

  • Can I have my child baptized at your church?

Yes. Baptism is a gift of grace, a sacrament that claims us as God's own. We celebrate both infant and adult baptism.  We ask that any adult or child being baptized would meet with the pastor to first talk about baptism and what the sacrament means prior to having a baptism. • Can I take Communion at your church?

Yes. Communion is served the first Sunday of the month and is open to all who wish to participate at the table of Christ. Communion is God's gift of spiritual nourishment and we do not withhold it from anyone who seeks a relationship with God.
