Fifth and sixth graders
Pre-Confirmation classes are the first step on the path to Confirmation. Check the ages listed on each upcoming event to see if this age group is invited.
Seventh and eighth graders: Confirmands
Weekly classes and special events are directed in a dedicated path toward Confirmation with activities and lessons to explore their faith. Classes meet weekly on Wednesdays. Games and gathering from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Class from 7 to 8:15 p.m. The topics for each 8th grade class are listed below.
High School Youth
This group meets weekly on Sundays, usually after services, for discussions and special outings.

Before participating in any of our Youth Programming, we ask that you complete these two forms, so that we have this information from you beforehand and can contact your parent or guardian quickly and easily if needed.

Come join us as we kick off the new programming year! All youth are welcome to join us for this indoor and outdoor night of fun and games. Friends are welcome, as always!
Come along to The FORGE for an afternoon of rappelling, a ropes course and canoeing. The cost is $20 per youth. And as always, friends are welcome to come join the fun! Sign up with Pastor Scott ASAP - spaces are limited.
Come out, bring a friend-we’ll work together assembling Manna Packs to feed children around the world. If you’ve never been, come see what this amazing organization is all about.
2026 Youth Summer Mission Trip
was Sun., July 5 - Sat., July 11
We had a phenomenal week working with Appalachian Service Project (ASP) in Kentucky. We worked on several projects at a single home this time, repairing the front porch, back ramp and painting. We will be forever changed by this experience of serving our neighbor in need, and getting to know the homeowner and her sweet dogs. We also had time to observe and discuss the differences and opportunities of living in a small rural community versus our suburban community.
Confirmation Class Schedule - 7th and 8th grades

Our program starts up for the 2026-2027 school year in September and runs through the beginning of May. Come join us to discover more about our faith and what it means to be a follower of Christ during this two year journey to Confirmation.
Work with a mentor for weekly classes, monthly breakfast discussions, Christian service outings, and visits to explore other
faith traditions. You do not have to be a member of UCCDG to participate.
Classes start on Wed., Sept., 16 and meet weekly. Games and gathering from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Class from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
8th Grade Curriculum
Our regular classes meet on Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 8:15 p.m. as well as monthly on Sunday mornings for Jesus Cafe at 8 - 8:45 a.m. and Jesus Jeopardy at 11-11:20 a.m. We also meet occasionally on other days for special outings, service projects and field trips. Some of the special outings and dates are listed below, and you can find a complete class schedule with topics for each class here.

These meet-ups are part of our Confirmation Programming for both 7th and 8th graders.
Jesus Cafe, for Mentors and Confirmands, and meets monthly before Sunday Services, from 8 to 8:45 a.m.
Jesus Jeopardy, for Parents and Confirmands, meets monthly immediately following Sunday Services, from about 10:45 to 11:15 a.m.
