We give because we follow in the footsteps of Jesus and believe his words.

“I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me."

CHRISTMAS! Gift Card Fundraiser

Place Your One-time Christmas order for Gift Cards

Whether you’re stuffing a stocking, treating a babysitter, or buying a gift for that hard-to-please teenager, think about making a purchase through our gift card program.  Orders will be accepted through Monday, December 6, and consolidated for one big order which will offset the steep delivery charges we’ve encountered.  Cards can be picked up after the service on Sunday, December 11 in Fellowship Hall.  Here is the order form with instructions.  Make your shopping easy and add a few dollars to the church’s coffers as well.

Working Together We Can Make A Real Difference

We are suspending the sale of actual, physical gift cards. The profit margin of our gift card program has shrunk drastically since Raise Right has increased its shipping charges. Now, an order for $300 of grocery cards only earns $1.50. An online order for $300 of grocery cards would earn $12.

Try the app. It's so easy. Open the app, search for the store, and place your gift card order. The app is available for Android and iPhones.  Search for RaiseRight in your app store.  Get tips on using the app or watch a video tutorial to get started.  ENROLLMENT CODE: 92A2CLLA55623

Every order aids our mission and our vision:

Our mission is to connect people with God and one another to serve, live, and love - guided by Christ.

Our vision is a more just, compassionate world, united in God's love.

Giving Tuesday, November 29 – Street Ministries Focus

Giving Tuesday is right around the corner, but you might be wondering what Giving Tuesday actually is.  We have a day for giving thanks. We have Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.  And now there’s a day for charitable giving. #GivingTuesday is a global day dedicated to giving back.  On Tuesday, November 29, charities, families, businesses, community centers, and students around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give!

How YOU can help

As we enter the holiday season with high expectations for a cozy & healthful time of the year, for many it is a time fraught with sadness, anxiety and depression.  According to Harvard Health, one aspect of the Thanksgiving and holiday season that can actually lift spirits is being "grateful."  We know this is a major tenet of our lives as a people of God, but is also supported by positive psychology research.  "Gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships."

Our "Giving Tuesday" matching gifts of $10,000 will help in a big way to assist some of our Community Kitchen unsheltered neighbors find temporary shelter during this winter, as PADS works on motel funding for those not eligible for their Butterfield Road / former Red Roof Inn facility.  We can help the homeless through the anxiety and depression of a cold night outside through extended stay facilities, where even the least expensive studio room costs $600 a week, but allows for in room meal preparation reducing overall food costs.

As PADS President and CEO April Redzic recently told our Tom Williams  "My greatest fear is that someone will freeze to death because I didn't help enough."  Our entire Mission & Justice Team and supporters have a similar fear.
